A.G: General Participation

General participation reflects your ongoing engagement with the course through attendance, discussions, activities, and peer review.

Attendance

Attendance consists of two parts:

• Lecture Attendance

  • Attendance will be recorded from Week 3 onwards.

• Tutorial Attendance

  • Students should attend at least 8 of the 10 tutorials.
  • Each student should take part in at least one Crit-Style Peer Review, where you present your project individually to another student in your tutorial session.

For both lectures and tutorials, attendance will normally be taken during the middle of the class. We will share a QR code linking to a class photo, where you can enter your name beside yourself in the picture.

If you cannot attend, no problem — please send us a short note and we will try to work something out together. Where relevant, attach any supporting material, and please include mayelhadidi@connect.hku.hk in the email.

Engagement

We consider:

• Asking or answering questions
• Contributing to class discussions
• Participating in Mentimeter activities
• Giving and receiving peer feedback

Where participation is recorded, we may ask you to provide your name.
